1998 - Developed by Gee Whiz! Entertainment
After the first attempt to create a Stereo Jack graphic adventure failed, a second attempt was made in 1998. Interactive Binary Illusions had changed its trading name to Gee Whiz! Entertainment in the meantime. According to John Passfield, this second version was way ahead of its time and featured a complete 3D world in which Jack could walk, run, and fight. They were working on it for approximately six months, but they had no luck in signing it to a publisher, so the project was put on the back burner. John Passfield kindly provided us three screenshots as well as some additional information: “We had one level laid out on top of a skyscraper that you could explore, plus an interior hangar with a spaceship. You could talk to a few characters, but there was no real gameplay - it was more of a demo of how the game would look like.”
