1995 - Developed by Interactive Binary Illusions
Stereo Jack is a comic book character created by John Passfield and Steve Stamatiadis back in 1992. While they were working on Flight of the Amazon Queen, they told Renegade about their plans for a Stereo Jack graphic adventure. Renegade was very interested, and so they were signed up to do that as their next game. The targeted release year was 1996, and it was to be released on CD-ROM only. But then, Renegade got bought by Warner Interactive. According to Steve Stamatiadis, Warner Interactive blew their budget on three Sensible Software titles (one million pounds each) and did not have any money left to fund the development of Stereo Jack. And that after John and Steve had spent four months designing the whole game for them! A second attempt was made in 1998, this time in 3D.

| The screenshots seen here appeared in the interview demo of Flight Of The Amazon Queen. You could see them there if you looked at the monitors behind Tony Bell. There also was another picture showing a small piece of the comic on which the game was based. | |
